eetings of professional/clinical interest are scheduled four-five times during each academic year. They are usually held on the first or third Friday of the month in October, January, April, and June. (Upcoming Events)These meetings are held at the Behavior Health Center (formerly the Psychiatric Institute) of Westchester County Medical Center, in Valhalla, New York at Noon. The meetings last for 2 hours. The format is informal. A buffet luncheon of Chinese food is served. There is a brief business meeting followed by a presentation by an invited guest or guests. One and 1/2 hours of Continuing Education credit (CME) is offered for attendance.
The following have been the presentations since September, 2001:
September (annual meeting): Community Meeting where members informally presented clinical work experiences, writings or ideas in progress. This allowed us to give feedback and support and learn more about each others work.
September 14, 2001, Community meeting: Discussion and exploration of the impact of the tragedy of September 11th on our patients, our families and ourselves, along with opportunities for volunteering and service to the community.
